One of the most common failings of the Range Rover Classic is the EAS air suspension compressor.

Common symptoms that the compressor is worn include:

• very slow to reach full height in the mornings
• compressor seems to be working all the time
• very noisy pump (mechanical rattle)
• very low suction from the pump.

The cost of a new compressor from Land Rover is very expensive when this pump can be replaced as a DIY operation. This will save you many hundreds of pounds! And this also at a fraction of the cost of a new one from Land Rover. This pump is a direct replacement for your original compressor. 

Please Note: Before you buy a compressor please keep in mind that the main reason a compressor fails is because there is a leak in the Air Suspension System causing the compressor to overwork and "Burn Out". The most common cause for a leak in the system is an old leaky air spring bag. Your compressor warranty will be voided if there are further air leaks within the system causing your new compressor to overwork beyond its designed capabilities.
